BELGRAVIA'S STRUCTURE
INFO ABOUT THE SCHOOLING AND HOUSING SYSTEM
Belgravia Academy follows a structure similar to that of an average British school. We follow a housing system, students are sorted into years instead of grades, and so on.
Belgravia Academy accepts students from the ages of 13-18, and are placed into years 9-13 based on their age. From years 9-11, students prepare for their GCSE's, and from years 12-13, they prepare for their A-levels. Below's more info about the GCSE and A-level timelines. After you read the following info, the next reply in this thread talks about the housing system.
GCSE: Students study for these exams between the ages of 13-16. They are graded professionally, with any grade under a C being a fail. One GCSE is equal to one subject pass. For example, if you are taking 9 subjects, you would say you’re taking 9 GCSE’s. 9-10 GCSE’s are recommended to be taken.
A-LEVEL: Students study for these more advanced exams between the ages of 16-18. 3 A-levels are recommended, sometimes even 4.
